Justin Walley

22-Year-Old CornerbackCB
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Walley brings speed and four years of starting experience from Minnesota to the NFL, but the rookie third-rounder's immediate fit is difficult to project for the Colts. Charvarius Ward and Jaylon Jones are strong starters on the outside, while veteran Kenny Moore remains an every-down player in the slot. Walley spent most of his time in college as a starter on the outside, but at just 5-10, 190 pounds, his size is more typical of a nickel at the NFL level. Read Past Outlooks

The Colts selected Walley in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 80th overall.
ANALYSIS
Walley is a speedy and experienced corner who started all four years at Minnesota. The Gophers played him on the boundary, but at 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, he may have more of a role in the slot for Indianapolis. Walley has speed to compete with any wideout, though, running a 4.40 in the 40 at the combine. Indianapolis has good corner depth, so Walley may have to wait his turn before getting significant playing time.

Impressing early in rookie season

Walley has caught the attention of defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo during OTAs and minicamp, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Colts selected Walley with the 80th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and scouts tabbed him as a slot corner given his 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame. He's played both inside and outside during spring and early summer practices however and has shown the ability to stick with receivers at both positions. Anarumo praised Walley and noted he could rise up the depth chart quickly if he grasps the intricacies of the Colts' defensive scheme.
